Yannik Benz

As a Machine Learning Engineer at DB Systel, the digital partner of Deutsche Bahn, I apply my skills in cloud-native architecture, AWS to build and deploy scalable and reliable ML solutions for the railway industry.

I have a master’s degree in Computer Science from Technische Universität Darmstadt, where I focused on internet and web-based systems and wrote my thesis on graph-based representations of driving scenarios for vehicle trajectory prediction.

I also hold two Google Cloud certifications: Cloud Digital Leader and Professional Cloud Architect. Before joining DB Systel, I worked as a Cloud Engineer at T-Systems International and as a Masterand at Bosch, gaining valuable experience in cloud computing and automotive engineering.

Additionally, I have co-authored a paper on low-level adversarial attacks for NLP, which was published at the Association for Computational Linguistics in 2020. I am passionate about applying ML to solve real-world problems and advancing the state-of-the-art in NLP.

I am always eager to learn new technologies and collaborate with other experts in the field.
